James. P. Collins III
Jim Collins is the Founder of New England Business Partners and its affiliate Boston Business Partners. His areas of expertise are sales support, marketing strategy and business development.
Formerly the New England regional VP for Cassidy and Associates, a prominent Washington DC based public affairs firm, Jim has advised banks, universities, unions, trade associations and corporate clients. Mr. Collins earned a MS in public relations from Boston University, a BS in urban planning and mathematics from University of Massachusetts at Boston and a Global Business Professional Certification from NASBITE International. Jim served Massachusetts in elected office as State Representative and then Legislative Secretary to a Governor.
He is an adviser to several early stage companies including Phoenix Revolution Inc., E-Systems Corp., Global Marketing Ventures, Wavlite and PSD Industries.
Jim is a member and serves as an advisor on local non-profit boards. They include the John F. Kennedy Family Services Center (Board member), the French American Chamber of Commerce (member) and E-Inc (advisory board). He is also a member of the executive committees of the Local Advisory Board of BUILD, a nationally acclaimed entrepreneurship based education support program and the Massachusetts Legislators Association.
A 2007 team member inductee and a 2011 individual inductee into UMass-Boston Athletics Hall of Fame, he is an avid swimmer and runner, having completed two Boston Marathons. Jim was honorably discharged from the US Coast Guard Reserve.
